In the Catholic Church they place the Virgin Mary very highly.?

Question: Would you believe in some people claims to have sighted the Virgin Mary like in Medugorje and places like that could it really be true ? If the Virgin Mary really could come back to this earth like the Catholic Church claims then why doesn't she do thing like walk on water like Jesus did and apear to the presidents like George Bush instead of saying a Rosary why not talk alot more about God and make plenty of sense. Some people have claimed to see the Virgin Mary but they don't seem to be able to say so much new and enlightment things why not for if the Virgin Mary could really apear to people like most Catholics claim then why not perfrom a super duper miracle that would amase anybody?

Answer: Here's the thing. Catholics don't believe she is like Jesus. They believe she is/was the mother of Jesus, which makes her very special in their eyes. Also, many Catholics believe in the Assumption of Mary, whereby she ascended in to heaven body and soul (her human body didn't stay here). So, when they see her, they must think she is able to come back to earth when she pleases.... that or they don't know about the Assumption at all and assume she is visiting them in spirit form. They observe her as a mother figure. Well, as THE mother figure and God is the father figure. But they don't consider her a god. Just very special for having been chosen by god to bring Jesus into the world and raise him. But not a god and not a miracle worker.
