How was mary queen of scots killed?

Question: The one who was related to Elizabeth. Not the catholic one.

Answer: There was only one Mary, Queen of Scots, who was the cousin of Elizabeth I. She was executed (beheaded by the axe) upon the orders of Elizabeth at Fotheringhay Castle. Mary I (or Mary Tudor/"Bloody Mary") was Elizabeth's half-sister. They both had the same father in Henry VIII, but different mothers. Mary I's mother was Katherine of Aragon, Henry's first wife; Elizabeth's mother was Anne Boleyn, Henry's second wife. Mary died, possibly, of ovarian cancer.
